‍Founded in 2017 in Regensburg, Consolinno Energy has established itself as an innovative GreenTech company in the energy sector. With a team of approximately 70 employees at two locations, Consolinno develops efficient energy solutions using cutting-edge technologies such as AI, IoT, cloud, and edge computing. The company aims to actively contribute to the energy transition and climate protection. Consolinno offers a wide range of products and services, including its in-house IoT gateway "Leaflet," energy management systems for households and industry, as well as specialized solutions for charging and load management, system monitoring, and billing systems.

Challenge

To strengthen its position as a trusted partner, Consolinno Energy decided to implement an Information Security Management System (ISMS) according to ISO/IEC 27001. In doing so, the company faced the following challenges:

• Integration of an Existing QM System: The existing Quality Management System (QM) according to ISO 9001 had to be harmonized with the requirements of the ISMS to avoid duplication of work.

• Comprehensive View of Data Protection and Information Security: Data protection and information security needed to be integrated into a central system to enable a unified and efficient compliance strategy.
