The Company

Digital certificates are used everywhere between end devices and encrypt their communication. For large companies in particular, it is very important to keep track of the certificates of their networked end devices and thus protect them from unauthorized access by third parties.

The Stuttgart-based company eCom Service IT GmbH has developed a leading solution for this: With its automated lifecycle management for digital certificates, companies can manage their digital certificates holistically. The software m2trust helps customers to monitor the complete certificate landscape at any time. m2trust was born out of founder Samuel Krüger's more than 20 years of experience as a solution by experts for experts when it comes to public key infrastructure. The product is developed in Germany. Major customers from all industries appreciate and trust m2trust for the management of their digital certificates.

The Challenge

Like many other commissioning companies, a large number of m2trust's potential customers required a certified information management system (ISMS) in accordance with the ISO 27001 or TISAX ISMS standards.  The latter is particularly important for customers in the automotive industry, as their development data must be given special protection.

Especially due to the increase in ransomware attacks and other large-scale hacker attacks, customers are concerned about their data and want to know that they are kept safe with business partners. Therefore, m2trust decided to meet the security needs of potential new customers with a strong ISO 27001 and TISAX compliant ISMS.

The Solution

In order to accelerate the ISMS setup to the maximum, m2trust relied on SECJUR as its digital compliance partner:  Only a few hours after the kick-off, m2trust gained access to the Digital Compliance Office (DCO) and the company could start building its ISMS right away.

Impact

Thanks to the DCO, m2trust was able to reduce the workload for setting up an information security management system by hundreds of hours, save on external consultants and offer new customers an information security management system that meets the highest security requirements. It has a signal effect - both for national and international key accounts.
